Jon Hoyle
Chief Executive Officer
Having been part of the business for nearly 30 years, Jon led a management buyout of the company in 2014 when he became Managing Director. As CEO, today Jon provides strategic advice and support to the management team and drives business planning and continuous improvement activities as well as regularly supporting a portfolio of key clients.

Andy Webb
Managing Director
Starting out as an engineering apprentice and with an extensive background at a major civil aerospace Tier 1 contractor, Andy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role of MD. Andy has full responsibility for our UK manufacturing site, managing technical teams, supporting key customers and ensuring high-performance and support in quality, delivery and customer service.

Cathryn Hunter
Finance Director
Before working in the private sector, Cathryn worked within local authority services building a strong foundation in customer service, compliance and financial administration. Since moving to Bright her role has grown in to a multi-disciplinary position handling customer and supplier purchase orders, finance, logistics and payroll. In recent years Cathryn has completed accountancy qualifications and has full responsibility for the production of management reporting and cashflow management.

Mike Andrews
Technical Director
Mike has had an extensive technical career starting as a British Rail apprentice followed by a career in the Royal Air Force. He brings a wealth of knowledge to Bright Engineering and heads up our estimating function, supporting customers and production with detailed quotations, bill of materials and production routings. Mike’s experience is invaluable when working with Tier 1 & OEM customers where technical specifications are critical to the quality and conformity of the product.

Ewan Bryan
CNC Milling & Programming Team Lead
Also starting working life as an engineering apprentice, Ewan now leads our CNC milling team, managing machine scheduling, his technical team of engineers and heading up our CNC programming function. He is responsible for ensuring best practice of setups on high-functioning machine tools such as the Mazak Integrex and Variaxis and employing automation and continuous improvement techniques where feasible.

Macauly Cunningham
CNC Turning Team Lead
Macauly is responsible for managing our highly productive CNC turning cell. The cell produces a wide range of parts from multiple types of raw materials and differing batch quantities and complexities. This makes managing production a fast-paced and varied challenge – Macauly supports his team with programming and setups and manages a growing team of young apprentices who are vital to the future of the organisation.
